Hello to my readers who have doubtlessly been waiting for an update of some kind! Over the past while I have been looking for ways to reach a wider audience with my tutorial materials... I am pleased to announce that I will be collaborating with Peter Kirn, head honcho over at Create Digital Music.
Peter, Eoin Rossney and I, with the kind cooperation of Native Instruments, will be providing tutorials, demonstrations and instructional materials regarding NI's Kore 2 platform and their other products. You can find the site at kore.noisepages.com. If you're not familiar with Kore, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. I've been finding lots of ways that Reaktor and Kore complement and synergize each other.
I'm not going to abandon this site - what I'd like to do with Reaktor Tips at the moment is twofold. Number one, I'd like to take suggestions from people about what they'd like to see in the way of instructional material. Suggestions can be about Reaktor itself or about Reaktor in relation to Kore. Material that doesn't end up on the Kore minisite, for whatever reason, will go here. I'd also like to continue with short posts here in a more call-and-response than top-down fashion.
So what do you think? The floor is now open for questions.

I appreciate your efforts to attempt to inform us novices on how to use reaktor in a useful way. I just got this program yesterday and I am intimidated by the functionality of it. I can't seem to figure out how to get what I want out of this program yet (i'm sure it will take much more than a day).
I have limited experience using programs such as Vision and the like. I am interested in making techno music but beyond just using pre-programmed beats and loops. What I would like to do is use reaktor to compose complex songs with layers of instuments but I dont know where to begin.
How would I go about creating a song from scratch using reaktor's synths and groove boxes etc. to compose a song? I can't even figure out how to input samples or construct music (ie. like with piano roll).
Please help, I cant find many tutorials or explanations in the manual to get me started.
Thanks
Tutorials on Reaktor 5? I never thought i would see the day.... much appreciated sir you are doing all of us 'would be' electronic musicians a huge favor. The only experience i personally have so far is making beats in FL Studio 7 and using Sony Acid 6.0 and Soundforge 8 to sequence and edit everything so Reaktor is definitely a huge leap forward in my case. It seems to be that for the most part the people looking for Reaktor tutorials simply have no idea how to use it so perhaps basic tutorials is the first place to start, i would be pleased myself ;-).
